Keeping your Fornax Bread Company Bread Fresh
The bread you purchase at Fornax Bread Company is made fresh daily with no preservatives. To help preserve its freshness we recommend the following:
  • If you plan to eat the bread within two or three days, wrap it air-tight in plastic wrap and store at room temperature. To refresh the crust, place unwrapped bread in a preheated 350 degree oven for 5-10 minutes.

  • Our bread freezes well for three to four months. Wrap it in the same manner as above. Allow the wrapped bread to thaw and then refresh it in a preheated 350 degree oven for 5-10 minutes.

BREAD DESCRIPTION AND INGREDIENTS:
Baguette :
A yeasted baguette with a crisp crust and chewy, airy interior. Ingredients: Unbleached, unbromated white flour, organic whole wheat flour, filtered water, salt and yeast.

White Bread Batard :
A basic all purpose loaf great for sandwiches or with any meal. A light crust with a dense chewy interior. Ingredients: Unbleached, unbromated white flour, organic whole wheat flour, filtered water, salt and yeast.

Whole Wheat Batard :
A healthful whole wheat bread with a dense interior and nutty flavor. Ingredients: Unbleached, unbromated white flour, organic whole wheat flour, rolled wheat, wheat bran, filtered water, salt and yeast.

Rosemary Batard :
A crusty white batard flavored with fresh chopped rosemary and rolled in cornmeal for a crunchy texture. Ingredients: Unbleached, unbromated white flour, organic whole wheat flour, fresh rosemary, filtered water, salt, cornmeal and yeast.

Rye Boule :
A hearty bread with a full flavor. Made with caraway seeds, poppy seeds and fennel. A great sandwich bread. Ingredients: Unbleached, unbromated white flour, organic rye flour, rye chops, filtered water, salt, caraway seed, poppy seed , fennel seed and poolish (water, flour and yeast ).

Multigrain Boule :
A dense, moist grain bread textured with whole grains and seeds. Great toasted or as a sandwich bread. Ingredients: Unbleached, unbromated white flour, organic whole wheat flour, oat bran flour, rolled oats, rolled wheat, wheat bran, hulled sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, filtered water, honey, salt, and poolish (water, flour and yeast ).

Pumpernickle :
A dense black bread flavored with plump juicy dark raisins with hints of rich cocoa, coffee and molasses.
Great for toast or with savory dishes. Ingredients: Unbleached, unbromated white flour, organic whole wheat flour, organic rye flour, rye chop, organic coffee, dark raisins, molasses, Dutch cocoa, filtered water, salt, and poolish (water, flour and yeast ).

Walnut Raisin :
A dense, chewy bread characterized by the deep , rich flavor of walnuts and sweetened by plump juicy dark raisins. Makes excellent toast with your favorite jam or cream cheese. Ingredients: Unbleached, unbromated white flour, organic whole wheat flour, organic rye flour, rye chop, organic coffee, dark raisins, whole milk, honey, walnuts, filtered wa-ter, salt, and poolish (water, flour and yeast ).

Sourdough Boule :
Our favorite bread. A Mediterranean inspired sourdough boule, full bodied with a chewy nutty crust and a moist porous interior. Lot’s of nooks and crannies for butter or olive oil. Ingredients: High gluten unbleached, unbromated white flour, organic rye flour, organic whole wheat flour, filtered water, salt, and poolish (water, flour and yeast ).

Peasant Boule :
Our version of the classic “Italian” white crusty loaf. Simple and delicious as a sandwich bread or with din-ner. Ingredients: Unbleached, unbromated white flour, organic whole wheat flour, filtered water, salt and yeast.

Sesame Twist :
A soft light white bread blanketed with savory sesame seeds. Ingredients: Unbleached, unbromated white flour, organic whole wheat flour, filtered water, salt, sesame seeds, egg wash and yeast.

Garlic Twist :
An aromatic soft light white bread seasoned with garlic. Great with pasta (if it makes it home). Ingredients: Unbleached, unbromated white flour, organic whole wheat flour, filtered water, salt, granulated garlic, egg wash and yeast.

Seeded Bread Stick :
A small savory bread with great texture, perfect with hummus or cheese as a snack. Seasoned with garlic, poppy seeds, sesame seeds and flake salt. Ingredients: Unbleached, unbromated white flour, organic whole wheat flour, filtered water, salt, granulated garlic, poppy seeds, sesame seeds, egg wash and yeast.

Sfilatino and Bacci :
Smaller versions of our white bread. The sfilatino is crusty like the baguette and the bacci is soft with an airy interior. Great for the small family or as a sandwich. Bacci is also available with fresh rosemary. Ingredients: Un-bleached, unbromated white flour, organic whole wheat flour, filtered water, salt and yeast.

Challah Bread :
Our Challah has a rich buttery flavor with a hint of vanilla. It is perfect for French toast. Ingredients: Un-bleached, unbromated white flour, eggs, filtered water, sugar, salt, vanilla egg wash and yeast.

Olive Bread :
A dense moist bread with brine cured kalamata olives. Ingredients: Unbleached, unbromated white flour, or-ganic rye flour, organic whole wheat flour, oat bran flour, kalamata olives, salt and poolish (water, flour and yeast ).

Irish Soda Bread :
A savory crumbly loaf sweetened with golden and dark raisins. Great with brunch or as toast. Ingredi-ents: Unbleached, unbromated white flour, eggs, butter, buttermilk, dark raisins, golden raisins, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, caraway seed and salt.

3 Seed Organic Boule :
A nutty tasting healthy bread loaded with flax seeds, sunflower seeds and poppy seeds. Ingredients:
Organic white flour, organic whole wheat, filtered water, flax seed, sunflower seeds, poppy seeds, wildflower honey, extra virgin olive oil, kosher salt and yeast.
